Abstract

As a very important method of Non-destructive Testing, ultrasonic detection plays a very important role in improving the quality and the reliability of product. With the rapid development of embedded technology, analysis instruments development towards portable structure, advanced capability, low price, simply operation, has nowadays greatly accelerated. So the Ultrasonic Flaw-Detector based on embedded system has become the research focus of NDT now.Based on research of A-type-pulse-reflection, the highest performance Xscale-PXA255 embedded processor is used as the high-speed processing core of hardware platform. Ultrasonic detection transmitting and received circuits have been analyzed in detail through the use of emulation experimentation and in theory. Application program based on Windows CE.NET for ultrasonic detection has been made by eMbedded Visual C ++ 4.0.The research emphasizes on three aspects: 1.Interrelations research among Resistances of transmitting circuit and activation pulse and transmitting pulse.2. Research on defect location and defect quantitation with ultrasonic inspection system. 3. Research on Ultrasonic signal based on wavelet Analysis.Application of embedded technology used for Ultrasonic inspection system has been analyzed detailedly by author. Based on research of hardware and software system, the research for improving precision in defect detection with ultrasonic detection system has been made in this thesis.
