| Title | Study on the Decision Support System of Bank Industry Based on Data Warehouse |
| Abstract | In order to adapt the development of internal business bank, while develops traditional business, such as deposit, loan, remittance, the bank in Chongqing also develops some new businesses. Because of the amount of data’s increasing, the source operational systems can’t meet the current requirement. So, this bank advances a scheme which can resolve effectively the current problem, through create a data warehouse which fulfill with its character. At the same time, the bank hopes this data warehouse enable data analysis ability, and provides the support of decision making.Through combining the object’s background of a bank, this paper attempts to research the application of data warehouse in bank industry. Firstly, we design a data warehouse model which agrees with this bank’s character base on this business bank’s requirements. Then, through analyzing business requirement and source application system, a data schema is generated base on “star schema”, and we also advanced a scenario of ETL process which meets with practical requirement, and the earlier job of data warehouse has been finished. At last, we also realize decision support function with the form of report forms, ad-hoc query, OLAP, data mining.The main works are as follows:â‘ By visiting all of the department and branch organization of the bank, the detailed requirement of decision-makers are analyzed.â‘¡The current status of databases of business system in the bank and the structure, distributing and character of the data are analyzed.â‘¢By combining the requirement and orderliness of the data, the themes of data analyses are determined.â‘£Though Researching the data model of data warehouse, a data model which fits to the characteristic of the bank are designed.⑤Though Researching data extract, transform, load, a ETL process which fits to the characteristic of the bank are designed.â‘¥Though analysis and designing of the construction of the data warehouse and the implementation of scheme, a model which has its professional features are explored.Through upper, tentative running, this project can meet with the requirements greatly which lodged by the business bank, and be useful for the developing of business. |
