| Abstract | The telecommunication industry has been the promising industry with the highest developing speed since 1990′s. And surely will become the first industry in the 21 century instead of automobile industry. But, telecommunication industry depends on the network resource. The traditional fixed telephone, the mobile telephone and the most popular data communication services are all depend on the network. So how to build up a good network is the premier factor for the development of the telecommunication industry.The traffic congestion in mobile communication network is a very crucial problem, which seriously affects network quality, and makes cell phones can not access network. As a result, it will badly influence the reputation of operators and lose the user’s trust and loyalty. In the long run, a large number of customers will leave and great economic loss will come to enterprises.Reasonable project planning, which can utilize the investment on equipments efficiently, is the base of all the network optimization. Rational allocation of equipment, which can utilize the network resources efficiently, and investments effectively, is the approach to network optimization. The adjustment of network parameters,such as community choice, community re-election and switched relations, the opening of the load-sharing community and the adjustment of dual-band network’s parameters, which will improve the absorptive capacity of community, and upgrade the network traffic capacity, is the key methods to solve the blocking. And this is the key point in this thesis.This thesis is based on the theory of GSM and technical specifications, and refers to the mobile network of Jinan with reference to a lot of project experience. The main work in this thesis is to study the methods to solve the traffic congestion in wireless network.This thesis is divided into five chapters:In chapterâ… we briefly introduce the history of mobile communications and digital mobile communication system, as well as a simple description of a major work of this article. In chapterâ…¡we briefly introduce the concept of network optimization, and describe the goals and methods of optimization and tools for network optimization.In chapterâ…¢we briefly introduce some useful ways to solve the blocking, which is based on the network optimization experience of me as well as some engineering practice. Ways above are all common and extensive.In chapterâ…£we briefly point one special method, the Sector-overlaid expansion, to solve the traffic congestion, which is based on the details conditions of Jinan mobile network.Chapterâ…¤gives Summary and Outlook.Through the research and applications of these methods, we can solve the wireless network congestion, increase the utilization ratio of network resource, improve the network index, and strengthen the satisfaction and loyalty of clients to China Unicorn’s mobile network, as well as the enterprise itself. The paper is expected to play a guiding role in improving the performance of mobile network of Jinan Unicom. |
