| Title | Research and Application of Workflow System Based on Native XML Database |
| Abstract | Workflow technology is becoming a core element of business informationization building, valid use of which may adjust timely enterprise business process, standardize management, reduce cost and enhance competition. Because business process in different enterpeises has various differences in using applications, its complexity and application area are also different. How to exactly and completely build workflow system and make it could adapt heterogeneous environment is always an important research content of workflow technology.We designed the workflow model and workflow engine with XML through researching on workflow system criterion of WfMC(Workflow Management Confederation) and workflow platform, management system which are based on XML at home and abroad.This paper analyses every model of workflow model, and takes out every elements described by XML Schema form which are necessary, and Implement every workflow engine function with C# program. Workflow engine support real system by obtain relevant information by parse XML definition of workflow model, and manage this information by management defined before. We store and manage XML data with Native XML Database, this can accelerate system running, also make the most use of resource of enterprise.The workflow engine designed uses modularization concept, which can save cost, and have the worth to take Secondary Development, and is beneficial to product format, and this can be accord with the model of software industry.Business process is described effectively by workflow model based on XML message transmission mechanism. At the same time, we achieve the hard core of the workflow by designing process parse, instance management, resource management, task management. With the development of Native XML Database, the introduction of Native XML Database in workflow must accelerate the development of workflow technology. Now all the workflow products combined workflow engine and the database, this goes against the system migration, but this paper design the data-table as XML Schema, it can be applied by all the database which can support Native XML database, which can save cost availably. |
