| Abstract | Video monitoring technology is an integrating technology of computer, internet and media technologies. It is widely used for industry, traffic, electronic and intelligent office buildings for its convenience and its abundant data. Internet video monitoring system can give real information of the monitored, so it gradually becomes one of the important means in modern management and monitoring.The present long-distance video monitoring system in Ningxia Electronic Corporation, based on PC video monitoring technology, is complex for its data compact and decoding directed by special chips. Its steady and reliance is not satisfactory. And it costs much on the decoding chips when a PC is used to monitoring several scenes.This paper is about an internet video monitoring technology based on embedded system. There are two parts: video monitoring terminal for converting station and video monitoring system for Internet platform. Its video monitoring terminal uses S3C2440 microprocessor, this microprocessor’s Frequency can up to 400MHz. The video is sent to video monitoring internet platform after being compacted by compacting encoding system, using RTP to transfer its data by Internet on live.The system use Windows CE embedded system. The way to do the system and the procedures to cut the video data is introduced. The drive for camera shooting is developed, based on Windows CE. Because of the limit of internet broadband, how to make sure the data quality after its compact with less quantity has becomes the mainly concerned matter. The compacting algorithmic is concerned in this paper. It has come true to compact video and to develop monitoring terminal on embedded system. |
