| Abstract | As the most important part of ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning ), the Workshop Production Planning module directly affects efficiency, operation and management in production. Effective optimized algorithms can improve benefit and reduce cost thereby enhance the competitive advantage of the enterprise. The research on the Job Shop scheduling Problem is of value both in theory and in practice.Job Shop scheduling Problem (JSP) is a NP-hard combinational optimization problem. Job shop schedule of mould & die industry is a classical Job Shop scheduling problem and it is also the management bottleneck of mould & die industry production management. For the production is driven by orders and its outstanding features are one-of-a-kind and experience dependent, production in the shop floor is poor regular and changeful. Planning management is found to be the weakest link.Unfortunately, planning management is very intractable for mould & die manufacturers. Moulds/dies are important technical equipment for forming industrial products. Mould & die industry is one of the generally recognized key industries. In recent decades, mould & die industry has been developing rapidly as the national economy develops apace. However, the level of our national mould & die industry is still inferior to those in developed industrial country especially with regard to enterprise management.This thesis takes the research subject as job shop sheduling of mould & die industry.It introduces the basic ideas of job shop sheduling problem and development status and analyses the production flow and sheduling overview in the mold factory. Discuss mathematical model, target function and the arithmetic of Job Shop scheduling Problem. Quote one kind of modified the particle swarm optimization algorithm to carry on the computationFinally, take job shop sheduling problem mathematical model and the optimization algorithm as the foundation and Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 as the platform, to develop the C/S pattern operative plan management system. Take the straighten die process of mould & die industry as the example which has obtained to Gantt char after the optimization algorithm and proved the feasibility of algorithm.
