| Abstract | With the rapid development of information technology and the worldwide popularity of network application, digital resources are explosively growing and suppliers of digital resources are continuously emerging. It not only satisfies the information demands of users but also stimulates more and more demands. At present, the most popular method of licensing digital resources is regulating the rights and obligations of parties with licensing agreement. How to negotiate effectively and sign satisfying licensing agreement, to make libraries obtain the digital resources for their resources collecting and servig and have suppliers provide better digital resources and service by getting satisfying benefit, is the question both of them most take care of. Library communities and suppliers of digital resources both have published a series of licesing agreements of digital resources. It will provide important reference for effective negotiatig and making of licensing agreements to deeply analyze them.The paper takes the representative licensing principles and agreements models of digital resources as the research object. The first part analyzes two basic elements of licensing agreement of digital resources and its types.The second part disscuss the law basis and economic theories basis of making licensing agreement. The third part makes a summary of licensing principles and agreements models of library communities, then compares and analyzes the main contents of licensing principles, finally compares and analyzes the main contents of licensing agreements models on this basis. The fifth part compares and analyzes the licensing agreements models of library communities and suppliers. The last part analyzes the practical basis of making licensing agreements in China, and make some suggestions to library communities of our country on making licensing principles or agreements models. |
