| Title | Analysis and Realization on Communication System in Collaborative Design |
| Abstract | With the development of the information technology, collaborative design, as the combination of the technologies of CAD and CSCW, can fully utilize the remote resources, shorten products’ made-time effectively, and reduce products’ designing cost, so some middle and large companies pay their attention to the related products. Researches in this field have being done for years, but in the field of the remote collaborative design, the effect is not very good. One phenomenon is that the communication between collaborative designers in network is not direct and convenient as that in real life; it’s very easy to raise some misunderstandings in that condition. With the development of multimedia technology, the application of this technology has great effect on collaborative design. In addition, collaborative design requires a good quality on the security of communication more and more. It will have a potential danger to the companies who design their products by using the communication system in collaborative design if there is not a guarantee on security. It’s urgent to design a friendly and safe communication system which allows the users in collaborative system to communicate. In order to supporting the collaborative design activities much better, this paper does some researches on how to design and realize the communication system in collaborative design.The paper does some researches on communication system and mechanism of communication in collaborative design, and designs a communication system in collaborative design environment according to the specific requirements on communication and security. For the needs of this kind of systems, at the same time, considering the problems in technology, I choose Delphi Enterprise 7.0 as develop environment, combining the third party tools, taking Mysql as database management to develop a system which allows users to communicate with text, multimedia and desktop sharing and so on.The paper explains the method of how to analyze and realize the communication system, and takes the text communication and communication with MSN as the examples. In the analysis of text communication, it explains the method of how to design conversations between two people and meetings among multi persons. It makes sure the messages’ integrity by add a digital signature behind the messages and the needed strings for the digital signatures are distilled from the images of fingerprints. In the analysis of communication with MSN, several solutions are compared and changed to get a more doable method which can support the latest version of the communication protocol of MSN, and explains the testing results of functions and performance.Innovations in the paper:1. Apply the digital signature which based on the process of fingerprints to the protection of the integrity of the communication messages.2.
