| Title | A Study of Taiwan Television Political Talk Shows |
| Abstract | The phenomenon that there are more than 30 television political talk shows in Taiwan is unusual in the world. So each time when the election start, the United States and the Southeast Asian media both will give special attention to Taiwan’s television political talk shows. This study aims to find out the reasons why Taiwan’s political talk shows are so popular, the characteristics of constituent elements of programs, program morphology, and whether the transplanted programs in the mainland will have the same survival and development. The literature collection, observation of discussion, content analysis and data collection are used in the study.The results contain a sum up of Taiwan television political talk shows’ development, the analysis of the characteristics of program elements and program morphology. |
